Stewardship

We believe it is important to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us. We practice this stewardship in two distinct but very intertwined ways:

Financial Stewardship – We believe and can attest to the power of the Biblical practice of tithing (see Malachi 3:10), and so donate 10% of all profits (assuming we make a profit) to Christian ministries. Below are links to the organizations we support or plan to support:

Environmental Stewardship – Just as God placed Adam in the garden to work it and take care of it (Genesis 2:15), we believe we should be caretakers of the earth. We practice this through:

  • Reducing – We pay for trash disposal on a cost/bag basis, which encourages us to recycle everything possible.
  • Reusing – if your stone is shipped to you, it will not have a fancy box and packaging.  It will come in a clean, sturdy, but reused box with reused packaging.  Equipment has been built from salvaged components as well, and even the limestone we carve is reclaimed from construction and demolition sites.
  • Recycling - All paper products are recycled and we use only 100% recycled paper. All stone fragments generated are given to a mill service which consumes them to create aggregate for construction.
